Overview

Kundlas Consulting Group LLC provided provided full mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design services for for Top Mix Bar, a 7,000‑SF full-service restaurant with a commercial kitchen and an underground lounge. Kundlas designed multi-zone HVAC to support varying occupancy and kitchen loads, implemented demand-controlled ventilation to optimize indoor air quality and energy use, and engineered Type I kitchen hood exhaust with grease duct routing and make-up air integration. Kundlas delivered electrical distribution and lighting design for hospitality and entertainment functions and developed coordinated plumbing systems for kitchen, bar, and restrooms including grease waste provisions. Key objectives included achieving code compliance, energy efficiency, acoustic comfort, and seamless system integration within the architectural design. Kundlas incorporated energy recovery and demand-controlled ventilation to reduce energy use, and coordinated MEP routing to maintain aesthetic and acoustic harmony across the restaurant and lounge spaces.
