Riverfront Towers – Housing Authority Multi-Family Rehabilitation (MEP Design)

Overview

Kundlas Consulting Group LLC provided comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design services for the Riverfront Towers project, a full rehabilitation of a five-story, 154,550-square-foot, 271-dwelling residential building located in St. Louis, Missouri. The project transformed an existing legacy structure into a modern, energy-efficient housing authority residential facility, providing safe, healthy, and sustainable housing for residents.

Kundlas developed a coordinated high-efficiency VRF system with heat recovery, a DOAS strategy with energy recovery ventilation, dryer exhaust risers and balancing, upgraded electrical distribution and lighting, and complete plumbing replacement/rehabilitation layouts. The design was coordinated within existing building constraints and aligned with applicable codes and LEED v4.1 Residential BD+C objectives to improve energy performance, indoor air quality, occupant comfort, and operational reliability.
