Cedars‑Sinai Medical Center – Flexible Laboratory Renovation (MEP Design)

Overview

Kundlas Consulting Group LLC delivered mechanical design and multidisciplinary coordination for a 23,000-SF flexible lab renovation at the Pacific Design Center. The team engineered HVAC and exhaust systems for fume hoods, biosafety cabinets, incubators, cold rooms, and freezer farms within tight geometric and floor-height constraints. The design included a custom VAV air handling system, plant integration, and redundant exhaust fans with high stacks, providing safe containment, pressure control, constructability, and code-compliant research support.
