Boston Urban Market – Retail Tenant Fit-Out

Overview

Kundlas Consulting Group LLC provided MEP design for the Boston Urban Market tenant fit-out within the EQR Alcott mixed-use complex. Kundlas assessed landlord-provided base systems, integrated a 20‑ton water-source heat pump distribution strategy, and designed supplemental HVAC controls and ventilation/exhaust systems for restrooms and equipment. Kundlas also developed electrical distribution from the upgraded tenant service, including panelboards, transformer connections, and branch circuits for lighting and equipment, along with plumbing designs tying into landlord rough-ins for future tenant fixtures. The design delivered a flexible, code-compliant retail space ready for build-out and long-term operation. Ensured compliance with the Massachusetts State Building Code (780 CMR), IMC, IPC, IECC, and NFPA requirements.
